Exploring Binge Drinking Patterns in the US: Insights from GIS Mapping

Over half of US adults drink alcohol, with binge drinking affecting one in six. Binge drinking, defined as consuming excessive drinks on a single occasion, is linked to various health issues and is prevalent among 18-34-year-old non-Hispanic White males in the Midwest. A web map uses EBK statistical analysis to reveal geographic patterns of binge drinking across the US, excluding Florida due to missing data. This analysis can guide targeted interventions.
